project: consultancy: company mission and marketing strategy

StarT- Plus is producer and marketeer of natural drinking water from an original Vologda source. Company has started in 1993 and employs 230 people. Distribution mainly in the Northern regions of the Russian Federation and in Moscow.

Main items of the project are the development of the strategy of the company and the marketing strategy. Further the division of the sales function and the marketing function has been implemented. The brand positioning and the price positioning have been developed and the middle long term plan for implementation of the change is made and agreed upon. The strategy of the distribution and the sales network has been developed and the implementation planned.


2. Dutch Company, the Netherlands

Mandate to build an alert and effective Export Office. Introduction of Collaborative Planning with the major customers in the world and implementation of a system of Rolling Forecast for the benefit of Production. Introduction and implementation of an Order Fulfilment System and of a Customer Relation Management System.
Hiring and training of staff. Selection and training of the manager of the new department.

1. Bols Royal Distilleries (in 1989 Bols took over the distilled activities from Heineken)


1.1 Bols Distilleries BV (part of Rémy-Cointreau, Paris, France)

period: 2001 - 2003

1) In 2001 Bols went into a joint venture with two main Dutch competitors in order to merge their production units into one plant (the former Bols plant). On behalf of Bols I acted as the co-ordinator with the new production unit (i.e. Avandis C.V.) being responsible for sales prognosis, production planning, order flows and deliveries, stock management. Negotiating and harmonising both with the Production and the two other Partners
2) Project manager or acting member of several Committees and Working Groups in France (Paris and Angers). The groups were responsible for harmonising and unifying the Supply Chain of all companies within Rémy-Cointreau (France, Poland, Netherlands and Greece) with the customers. I was responsible for the Bols side including Metaxa Greece.
3) Responsible for the transfer of the activities of the Bols Export Sales Prognosis and Customer Service from the Netherlands to France (Angers). This project has come to an end successfully November 2003.

Introduced Effective Consumer Response and Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment with the top ten customers. Implemented with the Bols Production Unit ‘Activity Based Cost Management’.

Responsible for the logistics of new product introductions, including the legal aspects of the packaging.

Responsible for the order/delivery flow with the production facilities in Holland, Greece, Germany and Italy.

Started in 1989 with 14 people and closed with 5 people by means of further automation, the replenishments programs and the outsourcing of the shipping group.

Several projects as project manager with customers and internally, amongst others the selection and introducing of new software with a budget of ca € 2 million.

Time used for travelling mostly within Europe average 4 months a year.
