Position :Interim Programme Manager – Jaguar Seat

Responsibilities :Reporting to the board of Brose Limited responsible for the relocation of the Jaguar Seat manufacturing facilities for the new model year S-Type and X-type high specification electric and electronic memory seats, from Germany into the Brose Coventry plant.
Installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
Co-ordination of activities with parent plant in Germany.
Product start-up of the 32 variants of product, manufacture of security stock for sequenced delivery into customer.
Gain customer acceptance of new process location (P.A.P.P.)
Main Achievements :Gained full customer approval 3 weeks in advance of plan. Exceeded planned volume ramp-up curve by 2 weeks.

Company details:A major employer with a turnover of c.£60 million, operating from two sites in the Leeds area employing approximately 700 people in the design, development and manufacture of aluminium engine components.

Position :Managing Director (Technical)

Responsibilities :Reporting to the board of VAW aluminium AG. responsible for the Leeds manufacturing operations
Main Achievements :Introduced cellular manufacturing and team-working, improved company productivity by 15% over 2 years and took the company from worst delivered quality in VAW Group to joint leaders.
Managed restructuring of the company and introduced personal development plans and employee appraisal systems.
Built up continuous improvement activities and developed quality systems to retain QS9000 and obtain Q1 accreditation.
Led company to be the first Foundry in the UK to obtain ISO 14001 Environmental Standard accreditation in January 2000.
