Business Development
· Led Wacom Europe’s development from start-up to market leader, with an average compound growth rate of 25% over 14 years.
· Established a new product category in the European professional graphics market – with subsequent yearly growth in that sector for over 10 years.
· Sold pen technology to NCR for the world’s first commercial pen computer, thus putting Wacom on the map as a technology supplier to mainstream PC industry.

Sales and Marketing
· Won control of specialised markets from1990 to 1994 with own direct sales effort, beating major competitors in race for new opportunities in professional graphics.
· Overtook all competition to become revenue and volume market leader in graphics tablets in Europe by 1997, achieving mid-term corporate target.
· Established and cultivated a committed sales channel comprising 40+ national distributors covering EMEA region -1992 to present.
· Built sales team of 10, with local expertise, to secure continued growth.
· Reached record turnover of $22 million in 2001.
· Identified growth opportunities through focus group, phone, and web research, enabling specification of winning products for world and European markets.
· Led projects to develop, industrial design, and market test new products from 1993 to present.
· Created new brand and product identities for world and European markets from 1994 - 2002 establishing Wacom Europe as a standard of excellence in company.
· Developed and executed marketing strategy, with a mix of PR, print advertising, web marketing, trade shows, POS, video, product packaging, and direct mail.

Finance and Organisational Management
· Achieved or exceeded yearly profit target at Wacom Europe from 1992 to present, while self-financing growth through expansion into new markets.
· Secured profit target in year ending April 2002, despite toughness of market conditions.
· Initiated and led project with top international managers to revitalise company vision and rethink long and mid-term corporate goals – Nov 1999 to March 2000.
· Persuaded corporate management to build a Strategic Planning Process for radically new business; established the concept: “Engine for Growth” - 2001.
· Secured buy-in from top management in Japan to re-organise key product marketing functions on global basis – currently being instituted.
· Successfully made the case to spin off the Wacom Components enterprise into separate autonomous global unit – currently being implemented.
