Work Experience

Simon’s focus and expertise as a developer of new business opportunities, partnerships and relationship management, is based on over 14 years of sales and business development for expert technical and business consultancy services and solutions.

Following technical and project management roles in data storage/management projects in Libya and Egypt, and financial trading information systems in the City, he subsequently held business development positions for specialist technical resource companies, launched and held revenue responsibility for new businesses and created complementary partnership initiatives with technology services, management consultants and independent software vendors.

He has acquired comprehensive practical experience of operational and commercial business issues and strategies from launching:

· an IT systems performance tuning consultancy
· a partnership consultancy
· a sales performance improvement consultancy
· a specialist network of expertise in decision and knowledge flows and learning effectiveness

Simon believes in authoring innovation to create competitive advantage, and building agile complementary business partnership ecosystems - internally and externally - to help create and sustain innovative customer value propositions.

In his role with the sales performance improvement consultancy, and in collaboration with independent performance coaches, Simon is currently developing coaching, mentoring and workshop programmes for individual, cultural and corporate mindset change in the legal sector, as well as consultative and solution selling to the finance sector for a global IT company.

In parallel with, complementary to these activities, and in partnership with a group of global technology and business specialists, he is developing compelling solutions around specific business drivers, for the emerging market in human interactions applied to governance & compliance in the finance sector.

He has recently co-authored a recent white paper examining the risks to human and knowledge capital in offshore outsourcing and the next generation of call centres in the finance sector. This paper has triggered discussion seminars sponsored by the Work Foundation to examine corporate responsibility, risk and forensic audit strategies. It has also been an unforeseen catalyst for collaboration between unions, law firms, HR directors and management consultants.

In 2001 Simon founded Partnerships, a value based, partnership-creation-consultancy which provides “Essential Business Connections’” which allow companies to identify and develop common business drivers and complementary value propositions within agile commercial ecosystems and which provide local and global reach and influence.
