1998 – current Independent (Freelance) Senior Management Consultant.


Projects for implementation of productivity and efficiency management systems. Analyse, recreate and implementation of improved business and production processes. Guidance of and assisting Boards of Directors, Management teams and organizations to reach structured and smart traceable goals. Used to train and stimulate teams and individuals. Change management. Supply Chain Management. Practical business experience in a wide variety of industries:

· 1997 Sulzer-Switserland (Industrial weaving machines), Savings and improvement 10.000.000 Swiss Francs), Major reduction of work force and working methods. Accelerated their R&D planning for new technologies due to heavy competition from Asia.

· 97’98 Materne-France (Marmelade Production facilities), Savings and improvements 1,4 million Euro’s. Improved their purchase and Supply chain operations.

· 1999 Koolhaas-Alphen, Schiphol Airport( Overhauled Aircraft parts for A300-320 and Maritime parts for Fokker Aircrafts) Company improvement and operational efficiency, made the company ready for take over, negotiating the take over and realised this. During 6 months set up of South American market for Distribution channels; Assisted with their project for the Indonesian Airforce with the F-16 Midlife update program carried out by this company together with the tooling of the Royal Dutch Air force. Restructured Supply Chain Management system and logistics.

· 2000. Geens, Belgium. wine import and distributors. An old Wine house with 12 Chateau’s in France. Production and Bottling. 2 plants in Belgium improved their maintenance programs, which were inadequate to have productive manufacturing. Improved their maintenance program and schedules. Assisted with trainings to the sales force to increase their regular sales channels by 13%. Value p.a. 800.000 Euro’s.

· 2000. Fokker Elmo.The Netherlands. Manufacturer of cables and wiring for Airbus Industries and participant of the JSF project. Implemented Management System to improve production and assisted the company after SAP failed to work with the workforce.

· 2001 Heye-Glas Holland and German plants, (Germersheim, South Germany). Glass Bottle production facilities for Heineken Beer Breweries, Holland, realised improvement from 480 to 540 million bottles p.a. representing increase of 12,5% value by 6.500.000 guilders; German plant just went into Chapter 11. Together with the Deutsche Bank, Commerz and Handelsbank created a successful restart of this plant of 253 employees.

· 2002 Triax-Belgium (Chipwood and wooden flooring production facilities, total logistic overhaul of the entire production plant. Improved production scheduling and raw material supplies that their productivity went from 70 to 93% reliability, Installed Activity Based Costing system. Restructured and improved their Supply Chain system between their mother company and the production facility.

· 2004 Continental Bakeries, Netherlands and Belgium. (Haust Toast and related cookie products). 3 production facilities implemented new work ethics, management systems and savings of 1,5 million Euros. Company was part of Industry Kapital a Scandinavian major investment entity. This recovery program was urgently required. Total renovation of their Plannings. This as well as the supply and customers side.


· 2005/2006 Private project. Set up and finalizing new Shopping Center 4Meren in Hoofddorp inner city in cooperation with Rodamco Europe for 42 shops. Besides this activity a new set up for a Restaurant (85 seats)in this Center (private property) was executed and opened in December 2005.
The concept, technical installations and designing were under my control. 2006: Set up and running the marketing, advertising and work methods and routines were implemented and focussing on cost efficiency.

European HQ in Brussels, Belgium.

Director of the official representative office for the State of Pennsylvania to enhance and actualise economical trade relations and business development with Europe. Recruitment for reverse investment into the USA of European companies setting up in the US. Responsibilities: Office, strategies, year planning, budgets, promotion, political structure and active in external commercial contacts.

Tasks and responsibilities:

· Promote the State as an ideal investment location for European companies.
· Identification of potential companies in the investment / commercial market.
· Counselling for job-creation of job retaining investment
· Advice on tax structures, subsidies, location and set-up in the USA.
· Promotion, organizing events and seminars in co-operation with American Embassies, Consulates and Chambers of Commerce in the USA and Europe.
· Selection, total organization and participation with US firms to the main Trade-Shows in Europe.
· Promotion, guidance and negotiations for Joint Ventures (e.g.. SmithKline-Beecham 1992)
· Advice and assistance for the creation of sales distribution networks for hundreds of US companies, identification and selection of agencies, importers, distributors and sales contacts.
· Export training for industry groups and regional development organizations in marketing, export strategy and business cultures. Gave lectures in marketing strategies and export to MBA – students at universities ( Penn State, Philadelphia College for Textile & Science).
· Advised and guidance to companies about the rules and regulations of the EU and how to prepare ISO certification and obtain the CE marks on products. Assist European companies obtaining UL approvals.
· Contributed to trade development programs with local and State Government, industry, trade organizations, economic development organizations.
· Created and executed and run the opening of two satellite offices in Paris, France
and Birmingham, UK.
· Press conferences and media contacts with professional magazines for promotional purposes.
· Organizing Governors trips to several European countries and organized a Governor’s Mission to the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland. Set up investment opportunity programs with Volkswagen, Schindler Elevator Company and Ferrero.

Import/Export/Distribution of house furnishing textiles, novelties en consumer-electronics. Family owned business. Started my career in warehousing. Import/Export activities shipping / Documents handling. Internal organization. International purchase, sales and later general management. Purchasing in Asia, East-Europe and sales throughout Europe and Scandinavia to distribution en Department stores. Many products with in licensee agreements such as. American Greeting Card Corp., Coca Cola, Parker pen Co. Martini & Rossi for character merchandising. Company was sold in 1986.


Honorary activities:

1990-1993 Elected Chairman C.A.S.E (Council of American States in Europe)
Maintaining and development of the presence of 30 out of 50 American States with offices in Europe, Central Europe and Middle East. Diplomatic activities and organizing seminars, events and represent the Department of Commerce’s of the 30 States at international Conferences.

1993-1996 Representative of C.A.S.E. for trade negotiations with the European Parliament and Liaison with EURADA (The European Association of Development Agencies, EU HQ in Brussels) Working on Economic Development Programs and improve cooperation between the regions.

2005/current Chairman of Shopping Mall, Shop Owner Association, 4Meren-Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. Coordinating events and PR activities with full responsibility for Budget and Programs.
