Telecommunications Ltd.

Taking responsibility for delivering £multi-million projects to the telecommunications sector this largely role enhanced my technical management skills.


1989-1991 Regional Engineer, Cable & Wireless.

Focussing on the Medium to Large Corporate Market. I was responsible for the day to day management and support of a team of maintenance and installation engineers. This was particularly interesting as many of the team had been subject to a takeover of employment during this period.



1991-1993 Lecturer, Cable & Wireless


Initially responsible for setting up a training branch in the North West of England I subsequently moved on to a more global role delivering training services internationally from the Cable and Wireless College in Cornwall. During this period I was also involved in obtaining the ISO 9001 accreditation and the management of a major relocation to a new college site in Warwickshire. Towards the latter end of this period of employment my role expanded to enable me to become involved in the winning servicing of new external business to companies such as the BBC.

1993-1996 Consultant, BTA

Head Hunted from Cable & Wireless this role made me responsible for developing, managing and delivering new business in both the recruitment and training fields this highly demanding role developed my account management and sales and marketing skills. I was also able to expand my skill sets further by providing consultancy services at a senior level for Cable Television & Telephony Franchise bids. I also headed a number of search & Selection and advertising led recruitment projects for a wide range of clients.

1996-1998 Director, Sunnycove Solutions Ltd.

Involved in the start-up of a breakaway company from BTA. Expanding the customer base further into the field of mainly blue chip telecommunications manufacturing and operating companies. Major clients included; AT&T, Marconi, BT Cellnet, Nortel, Alcatel & NTL amongst others. This role expanded further my sales and marketing skills and provided a solid grounding in general business management and financial monitoring and reporting. As a 288 director I was responsible for production of statutory reports & returns.

1998-Current Managing Director, Telecom Technology Solutions Ltd.

My own start-up company delivering consultancy and training services to the telecommunications and internet industries. As a company we have been successful in tapping into the new internet market providing consultancy services to many start-up ISPs and ASPs in both technical and non-technical capacity. This role has enabled me retain earlier client loyalties as well as developing new business with a wide and varied range of new clients. With major input to sales, marketing, finance, legal and technical department to both the corporate and new enterprise marketplace this been the most exciting and expanding role to date. Major clients include; Cisco, Level 3 Communications, AT&T, O2/Cellnet, Nortel, AT&T, Worldcom, and Mutimap to name but a few.
