I was responsible for the development and implementation of the Executive Information System, which allowed management and other stakeholders to have all the important business data at any moment. I worked on the project for one year and finished it succesfully. The EIS-system was written in Hypercard for a Mac Environment on an Oracle Database. This job involved meeting with different key stakeholders, doing financial analysis of a worldwide company and developping new software.

Ernst & Young : 1994 - 1997
Financial auditor (senior), member of the IT-team and responsible for the education of new employees. My customers were medium and large National and Multinational companies mainly in the Chemical, Metal, Paper & Packaging, Transportation (shipping, distribution) and
the Services industry. In my last year I performed special tasks (Acquisitions, Fraude investigation, Mergers) and managed people on the job. I also was a speaker for E&Y at seminars.

Penske Logistics Europe : 26th of October 1998 – March 31st 2000
Started as a Financial Analyst for the Corporate Audit Team. The main tasks were acquisitions, integrations, major contract analysis, process control and financial responsibility of the different sites. I was also Finance Manager of the Ridderk and the Roosendaal sites and member of the Management Team (totalling 600 employees and 500 trucks). I was member of the operational team in Roosendaal as part of the reorganisation of this site. I was appointed Black Belt Operations (Quality manager trained by GE) to head operational projects for the whole group. I was an interim Director during restructuration of the Ridderkerk Site. I also worked on implementing new accounting and planning software at the sites as well as a Management Buy Out.
Examples of some projects : implementation of Paragon Software to increase the utilization and efficiency of the truck fleet, redesign of the Invoicing process which included implementing a new software package, implementing a company wide KPI-reporting tool, an HR Project to decrease temporary labor, …

Columbus Logistics : April 2000 – December 2000
I was appointed as a director of Columbus Logistics which was set up in October of 1999 with the goal to set up different companies in the transportation industry as well as offering consultancy. Together with two experts from the Transportation Industry we created a business plan for a Digital Marketplace for Transport.

I was appointed Director Business Performance Improvement for this new company in charge of Finance, Quality, Human Resources and Analysis. . My main tasks over the last year were setting up a Finance Project (JD Edwards Finance and Order Management), an Operations Project (Glog) and a Data Warehousing Project (Cognos). This included designing the processes (I am a six sigma trained Black Belt ex GE), writing RFPs, building and managing project teams. As a Director I was involved in the Sales process defining new targets and winning new Business.
