Working alone or in a small team on the optimisation of thermoplastic and metal products using the programs MSC MARC, EMRC NISA/Display and Mouldflow.

March 2000 - May 2001. Stress engineer at Fokker AESP.
Working on the full scale development of the vertical fin of the NH90 helicopter. Optimising the Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic structure with use of MSC Patran/Nastran and the technical handbooks.

June 2001 – May 2002. Work Package Manager at Fokker AESP.
Leading the stress engineers of the NH90 project and working as stress engineer on:
• The conceptual design of the horizontal stabiliser (CFRP).
• The damage tolerance and fatigue substantiation of the aluminium brackets as well as on the bird strike substantiation.
Furthermore responsible for the planning of the stress team and the checking of the reports of the team members.

June 2002 – June 2003. Stress engineer at Fokker Services.
Working as stress engineer at the modification of Gulfstream GV for the Japan Coast Guard. Responsible for:
• The design and strength substantiation of the modification of the wing to body fairing (CFRP).
• The design and strength substantiation of the metal seat pallets and the metal backup structures for several antenae.
Thereby using the FEMAP pre-and post processor with MSC NASTRAN and the 2D drawing package HELIX (Micro Cadam).

August 2003 – April 2004. Lead engineer at Northrop Grumman (El Segundo, USA)
Leading the design build team (Fokker AESP) of the in flight opening doors of the Joint Strike Fighter STOVL variant. (Lay-out phase). Responsible for:
• Design and stress engineers of the STOVL In flight opening doors (Metal/CFRP).
• Interface control
• Schedule

May 2004 – May 2006. Lead engineer at Northrop Grumman (El Segundo, USA)
Leading the design build team of the Aux Air Inlet Door of the Joint Strike Fighter STOVL variant. (Build To Package phase). Responsible for:
• Design and stress engineers of the Aux Air Inlet door (Metal/CFRP).
• Interface control (ICD)
• Schedule
• Delivery of the product definition of the Aux Air Door

September 2006 - November 2006. Lead stress engineer of certification team of the A380 J-nose at Stork Fokker Hoogeveen. Short term contract to replace the lead stress engineer during leave of absence.

Januari 2007 - current. Lead stress engineer. NH90 certification, Fokker Papendrecht.
Leading a team of stress engineers during the completion of the final certification and the analysis of new variants. Responsible for the planning and the strength substantiation.
