04/09-12/09 Managing Director on a temporary consultancy contract for Edison International Concepts and Agencies BV, The Netherlands.
Internet and Loyalty Rewards company with the focus on POS customer loyalty promotional gifts. Main task to give the “sleeping” company structure and bringing it to live again. Made the company ready for the future and making it profitable again, as well on the sales as the purchasing side.

01/92-01/2009 Managing Director Nebus Loyalty B.V.(Till 09/07 part of KarstadtQuelle)
Company with activities in The Netherlands, Swiss, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, France, Spain and Italy. Main clients are either in petrol industry or supermarkets like Shell, Total, Exxon, Migros CH and COOP CH. For these gift-reward schemes all assortments, branded and non-branded are created, sourced and purchased at our own risk. The gifts are household items, kitchenware, small furniture, toys, textiles and many more. Annual buying volume over US $ 100 Million. The sourcing countries were worldwide including India, Thailand, Viet Nam, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. The company has over 200 employees. My main responsibilities besides profit & loss were; general management, business development, buying, supplier-contracts, customer care, logistics, key account management and e-commerce services. Within the supply chain department are over 80 employees.



09/89-12/91 Managing Director of DMD N.V. ( Part of KarstadtNeckermann)
Mailorder company with activities in France, Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. Assortments of this company were: household products, textiles and gadgets. Annual buying volume was around US $ 10 Million. The sourcing was done worldwide. The company had about 50 employees. My main responsibility was beside profit & loss, buying, logistics, customer care and direct-marketing. From the start I had to reorganise and make a turn around from loss into profit. By the end of 1991 I had managed this goal.




01/85-08/89 Manager buying department Neckermann Postorders B.V. ( subsidiary of Neckermann Mailorder in Germany). The main markets were The Netherlands, Belgium and France. I was responsible for all assortments/productgroups : hardware, hometextiles, garments, lingerie and other products. In this period I travelled/sourced many times with colleagues from Germany and own buyers to India, Pakistan, Hong Kong and China. My buying department employed about 60 people. Total buying volume was about US $ 80 Million. Responsibilities were beside being part of the Management Team; managing the whole buying department; optimising assortments, margin, stock and efficiency.



11/79-07/85 Buying Department Neckermann Postorders B.V. ( subsidiary of Neckermann Mailorder in Germany). Beginning as an assistant buyer I also followed a traineeship of 6 months with Neckermann Mailorder in Frankfurt (Germany) at the lingerie department. After 2 years I did get the responsibility of the assortments lingerie and children garments. In 1983 I was announced as Manager of the hardgood and hometextile department. In this time I travelled for sourcing mainly to India, Pakistan, China and Hong Kong. The total buying volume was around US $ 40 Million. Responsibilities were managing the several buying departments, optimising assortments, margin, stock and efficiency.
