Skills

On my assignments I combine a hands on management mentality with a strong focus on results and on business end users (actually the true customer). In large IT projects I think a strong focus on, and a strong commitment from end users is of key importance for success. Making sure that the customer recognizes itself in the new situation should be the focus of all project and program managers. Change management (and by that I mean not just theory) should always be a significant part of a project, especially if internal processes are being altered or improved and “business as usual will change”.
I like to be the interface between the technical consultants and the business, translate bits into business language, and make sure (technical) consultants and business experts will form excellent teams.
