Sauer-Danfoss is a $2 billion NYSE listed market leader in the off highway vehicle market, supplying hydrostatic transmissions, valves, work functions, electronics and software. Major markets served are turf care, road building, construction, forestry, agriculture and recreation vehicles.

Vice President – Mobile Electronics Division (Corporate Officer) (1999-2008)
Lead architect and driver of the +PLUS 1 operating system for vehicle controls. The product market launch was an industry changing, multi-national commercial and technology success. Reported to COO and President.
Key business development executive providing expertise in management, planning, product development and operations.
Catapulted the electronics division from a base of $20m in 1999 with one factory in Minneapolis, to $170m in 2007 with factories in USA, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and UK.
Drove the business forward by generic growth, several acquisitions in Europe and additionally, a strategic partnership JV in the USA.
Global responsibility for the division P&L and a member of the executive group for strategic direction, market development, and succession planning.
Created and lead a software and systems solutions group.
Successfully implemented LEAN manufacturing processes in all locations to improve quality and productivity with increased inventory turns.
Developed software outsourcing partners in India and Bulgaria.
Played a leadership role in the merger of Sauer and Danfoss.

Emerson Electric Corp. St Louis, Missouri. 1979-1999
$20 billion global manufacturer in consumer and industrial markets. Emerson has several business sectors, the largest being Process Control. This division supplies electronic instrumentation and control systems to major industrial plants including oil refineries, chemical plants, power plants and paper mills. As a fortune 500 company, Emerson is the recognised leader for strategic planning and financial performance.

Senior Vice President - Process Control. (1996-1999)
Assumed P&L, marketing and product management responsibility for the Canadian operations reporting to the President of Process Field Operations Americas.
Implemented customer satisfaction programs that resulted in the highest ratings in the process industry.
Developed and implemented national operations and service strategies for 8 divisions.
Achieved highest market penetration in company’s history with 70% dominant share in transmitter and sensor products, coupled with the market leadership position for valves. Exceeded all targets for revenue growth, market share and EBIT, resulting in the highest profit sharing payouts in the Canadian process control history.
Lead marketing efforts for the Nuclear Power industry worldwide, encompassing various technology transfer issues.
Developed the first Chinese joint venture for the production of transmitters.

Vice President - Field Operations ( Process Division ) (1991-1996)
Sales & Marketing responsibility for 8 divisions with 50 offices throughout the USA reporting to the President.
Redesigned the organization of 2000 sales and service personal, resulting in a structure lead by 7 vice presidents reporting to VP Field Operations.
Accountable for the sales and marketing strategies, planning and training development.
Full P&L responsibility for S&M group to Gross Profit and Capex.
Additional responsibility for APAC ( Asia Pacific ) region sales and marketing.
Achieved number one or two market leadership position for 7 of the 8 divisions.
Lead the team for the merger with Fischer Controls. This was a merger that exceeded $1billion.
Developed a new rapid response service and distribution organization, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and profitability.

Director - Sales & Marketing (1983-1991)
Directed and coordinated sales, marketing and engineering groups in the process control business segment for Australia and New Zealand, reporting to the Managing Director.

Manager - West Australian branch (1979-1983)
Founded the branch and developed an organization that became the top performer in Australia.
