Since March 2008 self-employed Interim Manager,

Fall 2009: helping a friend to start up her own counselling &coaching company, in administration, marketing, internet and advertising development, strategy etc.

November 2008 – June 2009. Interim Maintenance Manager (MT-member) at Leaf Belgium in Turnhout (Belgium). Production plant for food (sweets e.g. wine gums), total 120 people. Daily management over 14 people in 3-shift (mechanics, coordination, work preparation, automation, purchasing, engineering) The position was between the old and the new manager, to continue the processes, stabilize the department, improve mentality. Furthermore to participate in improvement projects for (food-)safety and quality, and to close the financial gap. Varied, partly ancient machines with complex
technical problems. Halfway the assignment a new plant manager started with a radical reorganisation assignment, causing many human problems. Full deployment of Lean and TPM.

April - June 2008. Interim Operations Manager at Rood Technology Deutschland GmbH + Co. in Nördlingen (D). Testhouse for the semiconductor industry. Every day management over 55 people, planning improvement. Executed a small reorganisation (5 people).

2000-2008 Head hunter in Production, Logistics and Techniques for people at a higher vocational or university level, salary level € 40.000,= until € 200.000,=. Employed by YER Young Executive BV in Amsterdam (NL) and Logi-Search BV in
`s-Hertogenbosch (NL). ().
Independent projects in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Russia, Spain and Andorra. As consultant and hands on involved in the creation of a German subsidiary. Very successful, also in recession times.

1998-2000 Business Unit Manager at Bammens in Maarssen (NL) . Responsible for the BU Surface Treatment (galvanising and powder coating). Managing low level personnel in bad working circumstances. Introducing new chemical pre-treatment in powder coating department. Raising prices by offering extra assembly work to customers. 85 employees in my BU, turnover €5M, profitable. First ISO-9001-certification.

1993-1998 Geschäftsführer (Managing Director) at Breman Havelland Installationstechnik GmbH in 14542 Derwitz (Germany, near Berlin) . Installation company for gas, water, heating, ventilation and plumbing. Specialised in new houses in series. Established by me for a Dutch holding. Successfully built out in a heavy fought market with collapsing prices. After 5 years 40 employees fixed + temporary, turnover €20 M, slight profit.




1990-1993 Operations Manager at Kornelis Caps BV in Steenwijk (NL). Responsible for the production of plastic caps, closures (1 M per day) and bottles, by injection moulding and blow moulding. Also a assembly department with ca. 10 custom built machines and a mould building department. Introducing new products, methods and machines on a regular basis. Reconstructing in 1½ years of complete old building into a state of the art production factory. Managing 70 employees.

1986-1990 employed at Holec in Hengelo (NL / F):
1990 Manager Plastics processing and techniques at Holec in Hengelo (NL).
Responsible for 60 employees in the production of plastic parts for electro technical appliances such as power switches. Injection moulding, pressing, as well by hand as fully robotised, as well thermoplastics as thermosets. Also Project Manager for the production runs of a complete new product range with 40 moulds, and a new robotised production cell. ISO-9001 certified.
1987-1990 Project manager / Directeur de Production at Hazemeyer SA in Beautor (North of France). Founded and led by me for the Dutch holding. Assembly and high voltage test facility for power distribution transformers (10-20 kV, 400kVA-5 MVA) for the French market. Within a year, the production line was more profitable than the same old line in Holland. RAQ-3 certified (French military quality certificate). 20 employees.
1986-1987 Trainee, several projects, e.g. development of power electronics.

Skills

Management experience: founding of a company in France (assembly of cast resin distribution transformers, managed 2 ½ years). Founding of a company in Germany (installation company for gas, water, heating etc., managed 5 years).
As Project Manager, Department Manager, Business Unit Manager and as Managing Director, in various industries.
Managing up to 85 people, level from uneducated until university level, also in shift and at a distance. Knowledge of LEAN and TPM.

Technical knowledge: amongst others: electronics, high voltage electronics, plastics processing (injection moulding, blow moulding, pressing, as well thermoplastic as thermosetting plastics), installation techniques, chemical treatment, galvanising, powder coating, food production (HACCP).

Consultancy: 8 years in founding and guidance of foreign companies
8 years in headhunting for vacancies at higher vocational and university level in production, logistics and technics.

Dutch is mother language.
English, German and French very good.


Other

Because of my experience in many functions and branches, I am broadly employable. My strengths lie in the quieting down in chaotic environments, the building of self confidence of the people, and the structural building of an organisation without to much ado.
