• Project to provide remote access to Technical Network for management of building management systems
• Project to implement IT infrastructure in a new building and IT move of users to the new site

Key achievement:

 Simultaneously running projects from Mandate to Initiation and Execution
 Main project was “Shared Workplace” which I took from Mandate to
the delivery of the Project Initiation Document


1996 / 2008 OMRON Europe B.V. Hoofddorp The Netherlands
Position: End User Computing Specialist (1996 – 1998)

• Key role in the company's first roll out of Lotus Notes version 4 across 50 sites in Europe with 2000 users and more than 50 servers
• Partly the roll out of Lotus Notes was combined with a first implementation of a Windows and TCP/IP based client-server environment
• In parallel the support environment was set up
• Set up of a global mail and replication architecture between Notes domains in Japan, Europe, Asia Pacific and The Americas

Key achievement:

 Roll out of new Lotus Notes environment was completed within 15 months
 Next to roll out 3 key Lotus Notes applications were delivered and introduced
 User support for Lotus Notes was in place

Position: Team leader Lotus Notes (1998 – 2002)

• Responsible for a team of Lotus Notes administrators and developers
• Continuous improvement of the Lotus Notes infrastructure and expansion of the Lotus Notes application environment

Key achievement:

 Upgrade project of Lotus Notes environment from version 4 to 5 successfully completed
 Many business processes were supported by Lotus Notes applications
 Introduction of add on products like LEI and Domino Fax Server

Position: Manager Project Office (2002 – 2007)

• Responsible for the company's European IT project portfolio consisting of 30-40 ongoing projects
• Budget, supplier and resource management
• Key role as a MT member in the project to reorganize the local IT resources into one European IT team
• Line manager of two on site support teams in Den Bosch (NL) and Milan (IT)
• Involved in due diligence, proposal and contract review for outsourcing IT infrastructure and help desk services to IBM

Key achievement:

 Set up of a Project Office environment to facilitate all projects run by the IT department
 Upgrade of Lotus Domino and Notes to version 6 managing the companies first real European project team after reorganization
 Set up of a B2E portal based on IBM WebSphere portal version 4
 Upgrade including the development of the upgrade script to WebSphere portal 5
 Manager of a Wintel server consolidation and standardization project
 Project manager for the project that delivered the Sterling Integrator EDI platform
 Project delivery of a WebSphere portal based repair application to an outsourcing partner with back end integration to existing internal Notes and BAAN applications

• In charge of an external support team for Tridion and Documentum web environment

• Project Manager of Application Landscape & Migration project within the transition to IBM Strategic Outsourcing


Key achievement:

 Keep motivation levels of the team at an acceptable level while outsourcing rumours are going around for a significant period of time

 Initial roll out project of an ERP package ATLAS/INFA for the automotive business with 100 users working from 7 different locations
 Project activities included hard- and software installation and configuration, communication infrastructure, business process analysis and user training
 Post project maintenance of the ERP software including first and second line support

 Board member of the national user group of the ERP package

Key achievement:
 Delivery of an initial system roll out coming from a almost 100% paper based environment within quality, time and budget

 Creation and staffing of a central help desk function
 Support the set up of a governance structure consisting of reporting, meeting and escalation processes

Key achievement:
 Set up of a fully operational help desk that served as a single point of contact for the business and that was based on a solid governance structure in order to deliver the expected service levels
