Principal of a small, but successful business consultancy, focusing on innovation, transformation and practical solutions, delivering dynamic results that achieve clients’ business goals.

Recent Contracts -
Transformation - Lead Consultancy in the transformation of a major Malaysian government-owned organisation into a customer-focussed entrepreneurial entity. Planning the restructuring and ground-up build of a new and separate retail organisation with its own culture, financial control systems and products. All objectives agreed at the outset of the project delivered in budget and on time and the customer highly satisfied.

Restructuring and Transformation - Lead Consultancy in a major two-year transformation programme for a high-growth, value added services business in Nigeria. Included complete restructuring of the business into five new business entities. Project included development of business strategy, organisational structures, management and operational processes, people development/training, internal and external communications. All key objectives were achieved in budget and on time.

Communications Framework – Development and implementation of long –term communications strategy for Centrica plc’s Financial Shared Services business. Achieved improved culture and workflow through improved team working, and inspiring a more creative and innovative approach to change, transformation and process challenges.



In addition, Business Ballistics has launched a number of online business initiatives, including a business networking and collaboration community, a support system for inward investment into the UK, and a global executive placement network for expatriate professionals.


April 2001 – July 2002
General Manager, BT Ignite Content Hosting UK
Reporting to the VP I was tasked to gain financial control of the UK Hosting business and drive organic growth from the existing business.
Key Successes included:
• Driving organic revenue growth up by 162% in a collapsing market.
• Improving profitability by maximising existing assets and cutting staffing costs.
• Refocusing the structure of the business to concentrate on new name / new sale revenues, growing the existing contract base and developing new routes to market.
• These three initiatives trebled the qualified sales prospect pipeline in 6 months


April 2000 – March 2001
Head of Global Distribution, BT Ignite Content Hosting
Created and launched a completely new business unit, designed to expand the existing UK content hosting business globally. Development and sales through 3rd party channels on a wholesale basis. Key successes included:
• Achieving all top line revenue and profit targets.
• Securing four major global distribution agreements in first six months of operation.
• Securing three major vendor distribution deals for joint marketing and selling of our products.


March 1999 – March 2000
General Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions, BT Northern Europe
Reporting to the Director for Europe I identified and developed specific inorganic growth projects for BT in Northern Europe. Key successes in the role included:
• Building a virtual project team to address a £4-5Bn opportunity
• Developing a close working relationship with the partner boards
• Gaining board approval to proceed with transaction.


July 1997 – February 1999
Deputy General Manager Customer Service Development, BT Syncordia
Created and launched a totally new global project management unit, with responsibility for managing and developing our partner relationships worldwide.
Key successes included:
• In 1997/8 a total revenue stream of £108M delivered against a target of £98M.
• Developing capability in 11 new global markets in 1997 and 12 in 1998, delivering an additional £8M of incremental revenue.



April 1995 – June 1997
Business Manager Energy Sector, BT Syncordia Outsourcing Solutions
This newly created role was charged with the total P&L responsibility for all sales, implementation and ongoing contract management with the BT Energy and Pharmaceutical sector. Major achievements included exceeding all the unit’s financial and non–financial targets.


October 1993 – March 1995
Deputy General Manager, BT Sales
This role essentially revolved around the sales management of all BT’s products and services into the Oil and Pharmaceutical sectors. All sales and revenue targets were exceeded.


April 1992 – September 1993
Global Account Director, BT
Responsible for managing the total business relationship with BT’s then top oil sector customer, BP. Among many significant achievements in this role was being named BT’s top salesman for the year.

Prior to the above roles I held a number of senior positions in Marketing, Commercial Management and Engineering within BT.
