Effectenbank Stroeve NV, 1994 – March 2002
IT Director
Effectenbank Stroeve is one of the biggest Dutch companies specialized in brokerage and asset management. In may 2001, Stroeve was taken over by RABO Bank, the biggest (agricultural) retail bank in the Netherlands.
1994 – 1996 manager banking systems

Responsible for all banking applications consisting of frond, mid as well as back-office systems. This consisted of the total application development and implementation, all connections to exchanges and trading systems as required for the business. I gained in-depth knowledge of brokerage and asset management business.

1996 – March 2002 Director ICT

Responsible for the ICT department. As a former director ICT from Effectenbank Stroeve, I am experienced in the field of management in line, project- and change management. During my management period, ICT service of Effectenbank Stroeve developed into a professional department. When Stroeve was taken over by Rabobank, I was co-responsible for the integration of the two ICT departments. The position consisted of the following aspects:

• Responsible for the ICT department, consisting of 16 employees
• Responsibility for infrastructure and availability of ICT components
• Responsibility of the service levels
• Budget responsibility of ICT (approx Euro 7 Million)
• Full responsibility for AFM compliancy (AFM is responsible for regulating behavior on the financial markets in the Netherlands.
• Participation in large ICT projects of Stroeve and RABO Bank

Under my management and responsibility, Stroeve fulfilled several projects successfully, under which:

• Conversion to the Euro. Under my responsibility, Stroeve converted all banking and financial systems from Dutch guilder to the new European currency.

• Year 2000 preparations. Under my responsibility, Stroeve prepared all automated systems for the new millenium.

• Website Stroeve. Under my responsibility, Stroeve designed, developed and implemented it’s new website. This website gives customers a full insight in their portfolio including performances via the web.

• Setup and restructuring of the complete ICT department, including procedures, guidelines, human resources management, employee rewarding and development of service level agreements with usergroups.

Syntegra is a multinational company, specialized in Business Process Outsourcing, consultancy and systems integration.

As an external consultant, I worked for several companies such as BMW, Exxon, Shell, ABN-AMRO. During this period, I was responsible for several outsourcing projects and reorganised several ICT departments. Another task was advisory of management on ICT investment matters.

Having for more then 15 years experience in the fields of general management, project management and consultancy, I gained a lot of in depth knowledge in the business area of business processes and ICT (Information and Communication Technology), specialized in financial industry.

My education and experience in management and consultancy provides me the background and capabilities to advice companies on high level decision making. I gained experience in dealing with shareholders, people management, managing large scale projects, development of complex software and suppliers.

I have in depth expertise of securities products, front-office trading, mid- and back office processes. In combination with my knowledge of software development, this gives me the capabilities and power to develop and implement successful systems for financial industry and above all, understand business needs.

Besides, my experience in sales and marketing fulfills my knowledge as an all-round director, having experience in almost all fields of ICT business needs for brokerage and asset management industry.
