All these missions have always been accomplished within a strict respect of pre-set budgetary limits and predefined objectives.

The total transformation led since 2000 by GIB GROUP has enabled me to acquire in a short period a wide experience in the fields of financial and institutional communications. For instance, as a head of corporate communications, I took part in the disposal of GIB’s major investments, i.e. the sale of GB to Carrefour, of Inno to Kaufhof, of GIB Immo to Redevco, of Brico to Vendex KBB to mention only the most important ones, up to the announcement of future resolvement of the company and the recent turmoil following the take-over bid by Ackermans & van Haaren . All these operations have enabled me to establish trustful bonds with the Belgian home press (written, radio, TV) as well as with the international press established in Brussels (major press agencies, French and English press) and made me acquire a wide experience in the writing of press releases, TV and radio interviews, the follow-up of analysts and institutional shareholders, communication through the Internet.

BRICO BELGIUM – Franchising manager for Brussels and Wallonia
Brico, with some 100 stores of which 60% are franchised, is the leading DIY chain in Belgium.
Description of responsibilities :
To ensure the respect of Brico’s commercial policy by the franchisees (28 stores)
Help and advice to franchisees within the scope of management of their company (margin optimisation, Human Resources management, investment policy)
Legal follow-up (negotiation of franchise and lease contracts renewals)
Recruitment of new franchisees
Respect of budgetary objectives linked with the franchised activity

The management of a franchised chain with Brico and Auto 5 allowed me to prove my negotiation and conciliation skills as the main task of a franchising manager is to bring together the apparently opposite interests of the franchiser (seeking to maximise his revenue through the receipt of high fees from the franchisee) and of the franchisee (seeking to maximise his profit through the reduction of the fees due to the franchiser).
