A sales and marketing professional with a manufacturing, product development and general management background, well versed in change management. Experience includes consumer, foodservice and industrial products, in the UK and overseas markets. A lateral thinking, goal orientated pragmatist with good analytical skills, an eye for detail and an appreciation of the bigger picture. Equally at home as part of a team or as a one-man band. Passionate about customer service, hard working, adaptable and an effective presenter. Currently serving as Councillor on the Ribble Valley Borough Council.

Established a successful new business in an industry and market sector in which I had no previous experience. Gained a ‘distinction’ in a City & Guilds Advanced Craft qualification in hand-made furniture (winning two ‘best student’ awards). Fought and won an election to Ribble Valley Borough Council in May 1999. Now vice chairman of Housing, a member of Policy & Finance Committee. and represent Council in a number of environmental organisations and Forest of Bowland AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Elected Chairman of local Community Health Council Acute Services working group.
