Chairman OC / Graaf Huyn College / 2007 – present
Educational Institute, Governmental; Education Management industry
The Graaf Huyn College is a high school with more than 2000 students located in Geleen, the Netherlands. It is one school in all its activities, in a small, safe and trusted to handle size. To that end, the school organizational is divided into two sectors, HAVO / VWO and VMBO, each in its own building. Each sector is then divided into two units, a lower and an upper. The units and sectors have their own space for profiling, but must always remain subordinate to the school-wide interest. Where possible we work to a maxim together. Where not possible, it is separate. The education has to be leading to a diploma as an entrance ticket for continuing study or should access to employment. From this perspective, the Graaf Huyn College contributes to a college degree. But that is not the only qualification. Our education must contribute to the growth of balanced, broad-developed personalities, with a diploma, a self-conscious way to find their way in society.
