LUXeXceL Group B.V. 2011¨uNovember ~ 2012/May

Type of Lighting / 3D Printing Company
Company Optical Product Manufacturer Size 30 people

Job Title International Sales
Working
Main Tasks
& 1. Developing new markets.
Details 2. Getting in touch with foreign customers.

After moving from Spain to the Netherlands, I joined one of the subsidiary companies
(EXXELENS) of a well-known Dutch LED lighting business group located in my
neighborhood ¨C LUXEXCEL to sell their ¡°3D digitally printed¡± LED lens to LED lighting fixture
manufacturers.

This company is the very first company in the world that has the innovative technique to
precisely modified wide screen digital printers to ¡°print out¡± 3D optical lens for LED light
and lighting fixtures. And that totally eliminates the need of grinding and polishing optical
products to save the huge cost of time and money needed for traditional methods.

Before I joined EXXELENS, the company had already been set up for two and half years,
but no one could find any customer and get any purchase order. However; the third month
after I joined the team, a large number of new customers started to be found. Now I have
had close to 10 customers who have formally placed purchase orders. Besides them, I also
have other customers that I haven¡¯t sealed the deal with. And quite some of these
companies do not even belong to LED business industry.

Having a fast learning ability, and excellent marketing skills are not enough to establish
new channels. A self-learning, self-innovation ability to create new sales channels on my
own is completely not teachable at school and or company¡¯s training program.

However, recently, my Dutch boss came to a decision to establish a joint venture with a
Hong Kong company to sell Chinese-made products to Europe. And this new business
partner insists on using their own overseas staff, and that is why I decided to start looking
for a new challenge.
