Summary of Recent Realised Projects

September 2010 – now : Coach Trainer RUP methodology at BNP Paribas Fortis.
CMMI PROJECT : BNPPF is deploying a new methodology for Demand Management, Project Management and Service management. As a methodology expert I guided the customer through this change. I adviced the steering committee and I teached the methodology to over 1000 employees.

My responsibilities were :
• To Work in collaboration with the CMMI process area leaders
• To Participates in the validation of the project management processes and deliverables
• To Help to identify the best tools to put in place for this process
• To Works in collaboration with the deployment manager to implement the defined deployment scenario in the scope in the department
• To Coordinate deployment activity and organizes the monitoring of deployment in his or her department
• To Assist the IT Project Manager in implementing the defined deliverables in the CMMI framework
• To Help to implement and use procedures, forms and guides
• To Help to implement and use tools
• To identifies the improvements to be made to management deliverables, contributing to the documentation of project and service final reports and participating in capitalization at an organizational level
• To Participate in project deliverable validation meetings and project monitoring committees

2010 : Project Leader / Business Analyst at VKW Limburg
BI PROJECT: Set Up of a Data Warehouse. I was responsible to gather the business requirements. I transferred these requirements to the functional analysts and developer. I managed the acceptance of the realised product. I was also responsible for the configuration management and the risk management. Methodology used : RUP
My responsibilities were :
• Responsible for adapting the standard software management and engineering process in order to define the software process used for the project.
• Responsible for taking into account and monitoring requirements and change requests and ensures that the accepted change requests are correctly integrated into the different project documents.
• Responsible for promoting project development organization and methods.
• To provides the necessary project visibility to his or her hierarchy and to project and steering committees for monitoring and steering.
• To observe VKW Limburgs budget and financial rules.
• To apply the Leprocedures typified per Compliance, Permanent Control and Operational Risk.

2010 : Project Leader ar Plantijn Hogeschool
WEBPROJECT : Development of an Inquiry Tool for ‘Goesting in Leren’. Measurement of how Students Study and Learn.
I adviced the Hogeschool while they were defining the requirements. I lead the project using the Prince II methodology.
In order to embrace these responsibilities and support the Project Steering Committee, I regularly presented an overall status of progress including a reassessment of the value of the project against the validated business case:

• Performance against schedules
• Spent against budget
• Quality achieved against expected quality levels and Harmony standards
• Risk against identified criteria (in Pid)
In addition, I presented issues, risks, changes, a proposed plan for the next period and the to-be-decided topics.
This regular reporting was based on the several deliverables created during the project life by the different delivery streams and that i needed to recurrently consolidate (coordination responsibility).

In this project we used the SCRUM Methodology. I was the product owner. My responsibility was besides leading the project to decide together with the customers which requirements had to be developed first. I was the link between the scrum master and the customer.

I have been active in IT software, services, consulting and Project management for more than 20 years.

In August 2009 Ideas@Work/Xepos bought the customers from computer support nv together with the employees. I was responsible for the integration of the old computer support within Ideas @ work. This project was successful.

At 30/06/2005 : I performed a management buy out from IBM.
I defined a new strategy for Computer Support and turned around the company to a young, challenging company who stands for open source, tailor made projects.
Since the MBO, I succeeded to keep our major accounts, rehire employees, doubled the turnover in services.
In 2007 we increased our turnover with more than 30% and we preserved our margin.

From 01/2004 – 30/06/2005 : I was general management of the IBM affiliate computer support. I reported directly to the Bourd of Directors and to IBM France, the business owner.
My main mission was to sell the business. I succeeded. First I sold our Microsoft business, (asset deal). Later I performed an MBO

From 1996 until 2003 I was responsible for the general management of a Business Unit at Computer Support. I lead the unit from a $ 1.0 M unit with 15 resources to a successful $ 8.3 M unit with more than 45 internal resources and 15 external resources.

Within my function as Business Unit Director, I was the final responsible for

- Service delivery
- People management.(Renumeration, Salarry, Car Policy, Group Insurance)
