Work Experience

More than thirty years of professional experience in Product- and Account Management, strategic Communication planning, product development and (general) management. I performed in both national- and international markets. Most of my positions were with medium to large (multinational) companies.
In the last 8 years most of my projects were interim-based. I am currently an independent business professional who operates in both b-to-b and b-to-c markets

Alfa Groep Netherlands (interim based)
Board Member – started with 2 days a week and ended with 5 days a week

•Co-leading the recapitalization of Alfa Groep (sale to a private equity firm)

Filled in several roles in the board of directors of Alfa Group. In a very competitive market, we were able to improve our market share dramatically. From the number 3 position we finally ended as the market leader. In this period I was (in different periods of time) ultimately responsible for Sales and Marketing, ICT, Production and delivery, Acquisitions and external communication (PR/spokes-man).

Projects: Restructuring ICT (new ICT platform), restructuring internal organization (opening and closing of production locations, expanding and professionalize sales department), restructuring products-and service portfolio (enabling growth), acquisition of the logistical organization of TMG (DistriQ), alienation of Alfa Groep to private equity firm.

Experience needed for these projects: C-level negotiation- and communication skills, business strategy skills, high knowledge of marketing/sales and communication tools.

Soft skills: visionary leadership, managing the financial complexity of a multi stockholder company, handling the internal “political” culture, being able to communicate on all levels (internal as well as external).

Rheinische Post
Strategic Partnership/Entrepreneur – Sales channel
•Representing Rheinische Post in The Netherlands and Belgium.
•Development of Mobile apps

With the board of Rheinische Post I agreed upon a strategic partnership on developing the Dutch and Belgium print market for its German print factories. De services and products that I sell on behalf of RP consist of highly specialized printing products (like XXL-formats etc.) and mobile applications.

Experience needed for this partnership: C-level negotiation- and communication skills, a large quality network, knowledge of printing solutions and possibilities, foreign languages (German, English).

Soft skills: strict planning, cold calling, canvassing new markets, managing suppliers and clients, writing documents and RFP.

Managing Director – Document presentment and Privver
•Restructuring of two companies
•Business process redesign for all production locations
•Acquiring and managing large government RFP projects

Full P&L responsibility for this business line (€ 35 million revenue and 380 FTE’s, 3 large production sites). Mainly Dutch Market with a strong focus on E-presentment (both tools and services), internet, printing and packaging.

Experience needed for this role: C-level negotiation- and communication skills, a large quality network, knowledge of printing solutions and techniques, foreign languages (German, English-partnerships), business strategy skills.
